Using your Aston Halo

Halo reduces unwanted room reflection including those from floors and ceilings, and also diffuses the sound, making for smooth, consistent recordings in pretty much any acoustic environment.

It is best used with a side-address mic (like an Origin, Spirit or Element) but can also be beneficial with front-address mics.

Halo is light enough to be used on any mic stand, just make sure everything is tightened sufficiently to stop unwanted movement or droop.

Experiment with the mic’s position; the further inside the Halo, the more isolation (but sometimes a little more of the room sound can be a good thing).
